Hi, I’m Grace!
Born in Toronto, I’m a second generation Korean-Canadian, who has a passion for all things weddings and celebrations.
I genuinely enjoy celebrating people’s love stories, hearing how they came together, watching their relationship blossom and ensuring that every detail of their wedding reflects who they are and their story. While a wedding is focused on the couple, I also care deeply about making it a special and memorable time for their families and guests.
The name Upon this Love is based on my view of love. It is summed by the verse in the Bible which says, “We love, because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). God’s love for us, His people, forms the basis of our love for one another. It has been a privilege to help plan and co-ordinate weddings for couples as they make a life long commitment to one another, before God and their loved ones.
I started coordinating weddings in 2012, shortly after I was certified by the Wedding Planning Institute of Canada. The wedding world has evolved so much over the last decade, most recently adapting to COVID-19 in creating more intimate experiences. It has been a joyful challenge to learn, adapt and grow, while getting to collaborate with some of the best vendors in the industry.

How would you describe your personal style?
I am drawn to light, airy, neutral, ethereal elements, but open to adding pops of colour for fun & vibrancy.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Inspiration can be drawn from anything including food, fashion, art, music, nature, architecture, and textures. But my main source of inspiration comes from the couples I work with.
What’s your favourite wedding moment?
The first look. As the bride walks down the aisle, seeing the groom’s face glow with happiness (and sometimes tears) in seeing the love of his life walking towards him.
What brings you joy outside of weddings?
I enjoy dining at restaurants as it combines three of my favourite joys: delicious food, beautiful interiors and good conversations.
